Description

Tracey welcomes you to her family run Old Town Guest House. Situated just 50 metres from the beach, in the heart of Hastings Old Town. Our Guest House is the ideal base for exploring the many delights of this historic fishing village at the centre of 1066 country. We offer affordable, clean, friendly accommodation and pride ourselves in our personal service ensuring all our guests have an extremely comfortable and pleasant stay. We are delighted that many of our guests return to enjoy the high standard of hospitality we offer. We have four tastefully styled rooms, all refurbished, modern facilities and of course fully stocked with everything you'd expect to find. We have two double en-suite rooms, one standard twin and one standard single. Standard rooms have a bathroom adjacent to the rooms. All beds are dressed with crisp white linen and plump luxury pillows, white fluffy towels are also supplied. Wake up to panoramic views after a comfortable night's sleep, followed by one of our famous breakfasts to start the day before you head off to see what Hastings has to offer. Situated right in the centre of Hastings' famous Old Town. Take a look at the famous fishing boats and the Net Huts along Rock-a-Nore, view the characteristic buildings of time gone by, some dating back to 1450. Maybe you'd like to sample some of the many bars and restaurants on offer, many offering meals cooked from fresh local produce. Just 50 metres away is the beach, where you can enjoy a peaceful stroll along the promenade whilst sampling some of the best fish and chips around, coastal walks, shopping in Priory Meadow or Crazy Golf (www.hastingsadventuregolf.com) on the seafront. You'll find everything you want for a short break.

Accessibility

Due to the age and character of The Old Town Guest House some features might make access difficult for people with limited mobility. Our guest rooms are situated on the second and third floor of the property and are accessed by means of stairs with handrails on one side. Access Statement available!

Directions

  • Train from Hastings Train Station (0.7 miles)
    Cross the road in front of the station, on to Havelock Road. Walk down to Hastings town centre. Past Costa, and through the underpass. Iceland is on your left. Walk along the seafront (5 mins) then keep left onto George Street. We are the tall blue building at the end of George Street, bottom of the High Street, over Just Property Estate Agents. The entrance is on the High Street. Frequent trains run from Charing Cross, Waterloo East, London Bridge, Victoria and St Pancras via Ashford
  • Road from M25 (50.0 miles)
    From the M25, take junction 5 southbound onto the A21 and follow the signs to Hastings. Then follow signs to Hastings seafront(east of the town) with the sea on your right, pass the boating lake then take the second turning on the left and you will find us on the corner of George St. and High St.
  • Air from Gatwick Airport (40.0 miles)
    Train to Hastings or by car take the A21.
  • Boat from Dover (30.0 miles)
    From Dover follow the A259 west to Hastings.
  • Coach from London (50.0 miles)
    Express coaches run from London to Battle, Bexhill and Hastings.
