Or, take a trip to Hylands House – a beautiful Grade II listed neo-classical villa, set in over 500 acres of Hylands Park, the home of the famous ‘V’ music festival. Other attractions include the Essex Police Museum and regular markets are on most days of the week. There is also a Chelmsford City Theatre with numerous popular shows. Shopping You will be spoilt for choice when it comes to retail therapy. The new Bond street development is a great place to shop, full of luxury and high street brands to discover, some of which have chosen Chelmsford as the only place to locate outside of London.
