The White Hart Hotel Information

Description

Situated in 4.5 acres of the landscape gardens on the Essex and Suffolk Border, this beautiful. The decor is soft and inviting and each room has a flat screen TV and tea/coffee making facilities. Free wired internet access is available in every room. The White Hart now offers a newly refurbished executive lounge for guests to relax in. The restaurant has held a AA Rosette award for the last 6 years and 2 AA Rosette for the last 3 years for the outstanding preparation of its food, good quality , ingredients it uses. All of the food is made using the best seasonal ingredients available locally, including meat, game and vegetables sourced from local suppliers. The accommodation is highly commended by the AA guide which awarded the hotel Five stars which is awarded to the top ten percent within there rating in Great Britain. The accommodation has also been awarded FIVE GOLD stars by the British Tourism 'Visit Britain'. Recent awards won ' the exciting wine award', Essex Food and Drink Awards 09. Runner up 'Best Hotel Restaurant' awarded by Food and Drink awards 2009. We also came second place again in the Essex Food and Drink Awards 2010 for best hotel restaurant and won best hotel restaurant in 2011.

Accessibility

We have ramps availiable in the restauant to help with the small steps through out the building. Hand rails are provided in accomaddation blocks to help with stairs.

  • Road from Colchester (20.0 miles)
    Head east on high street towards George Street for 0.1 miles. Then take a slight right at Queen Street and continue for 108 feet. Then turn right to stay on Queen Street 0.2 miles. At St Botolph's Circus, take the 4th exit onto the A134/Southway.
  • Road from London (35.0 miles)
    Head north east out of London on the M11. Take the exit toward Colchester/A120 (E). Slight right toward A120 (signs for A120/Colchester). Continue straight onto A120. At Marks Farm Roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto A131. Turn left at A1124/Hedingham Rd.
