The Grange Pub Information

Description

The space Your super-large room is newly designer-refurbished and decorated and a bed or beds with duvets, a desk and a flat-screen TV, along with huge windows. There is free wi-fi throughout the building. There are two shared bathrooms (both with toilets) as well as a separate toilet. The room is super quiet. As well as the pub itself and the sun-soaked garden, our head chef Lisa serves up a superb menu of modern British cuisine including comforting Sunday roasts, our famous burgers and finger-licking pizza from the wood-fired oven. The menu changes daily, using local traders and suppliers where we can and buying with discernment. We offer a great selection of local craft and international beers, along with a small but perfectly formed wine list, and great coffee. The pub kitchen is open for dinner Monday to Thursday, and all-day from midday on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Breakfast is not included; there are cafes and supermarkets nearby. Guest access Guests have access to tea and coffee making facilities and a small refrigerator. There is free wi-fi throughout the building. All rooms have flat-screen TVs. The Grange Pub is open daily from 15.00 Monday to Thursday, and from midday on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Guest access out of hours is via a code-operated door. Interaction with guests The Grange is Australian-owned, so we’re more than happy to share our ideas on what to do in London through different eyes. There are just so many different ways to experience London! I will usually be around to check you in, or it will be one of the friendly staff. If you require any assistance at other times, please just ask the staff. The neighbourhood Bermondsey is located in SE1, Central London, just across the famous Tower Bridge from the City of London. The area is home to Southwark Cathedral, Borough Market and Maltby Street Market, The Shard, hip Bermondsey Street, along with quite a few more interesting and historic places.

Directions

  • Bus from Shoreditch/ Tottenham Court Road (1.0 miles)
The Grange is about half a mile (800m) from Tower Bridge. Two bus routes stop right at the door: the 78 bus (route: Nunhead – The Grange – Shoreditch) will take you to straight to happening Shoreditch, while the 1 Bus (Canada Water – The Grange – Tottenham Court Road) gets you door-to-door to Soho and the West End. The ever-useful N1 (one of London’s famous night buses!) travels from the West End and will get you safely back home at all hours.
  • Underground from Jubilee/ Northern Lines (0.5 miles)
Bermondsey tube station (Underground: Jubilee Line) is a 10 minute walk, and we’re a 20 minute walk to London Bridge Station which has both tube and National Rail links.
  • Train from Gatwick Airport (LGW) (1.0 miles)
If you’re flying into London, try and come to Gatwick (LGW) as that's about 30 minutes by train to London Bridge. In our opinion this is easily the fastest way into Central London and your stay at The Grange.
