The Bowens Bed & Breakfast Information

Description

Bowens B&B is an Award Winning, family operated guesthouse in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty near Hereford. Owners, Claire & Kevin are proud to have won the ‘Outstanding Hosts 2018' award by Eviivo. In addition we received Certificates of Excellence 2018 from both TripAdvisor and HotelsCombined. Bowens is a 17th century farmhouse set in an acre of garden in the Herefordshire village of Fownhope. We offer a variety of en-suite rooms, catering for single travellers, couples and families. All rooms are en-suite with bath and/or shower, TV, hairdryer, wi-fi, tea and coffee making facilities. Our ground-floor courtyard rooms have independent access and allow direct access to your car. Some rooms are accessible to those with mobility issues. Unfortunately, we cannot accept pets. Outside, the garden has several seating areas for guests to relax and enjoy the view of the surrounding countryside. All rates include full English breakfast made from locally produced bacon, eggs and award winning sausages. Fruit, cereals and juices are included and special dietary needs can be accommodated with prior notice. Located approx 20 minutes from Hereford, Ledbury and Ross on Wye; ideal for exploring the Herefordshire countryside and a stop for walkers on the Wye Valley Way or cyclists on Lands End to John O'Groats route. We can arrange collection or forwarding of luggage by prior arrangement. There are two pubs, a shop/post office, church and leisure centre/spa, all within walking distance. There are several other highly rated pub restaurants in nearby villages and we can help make advance reservations. The area offers many opportunities for exploration, including canoeing on the River Wye, Fishing, Cider museums and tours, Hereford Cathedral & Mappa Mundi, Hay Literary Festival, Much Marcle Steam Rally, Royal Three Counties Show, Flavours of Hereford Food Festival and many more.
