The Bowens Bed & Breakfast Information

Description

We are pleased to announce that we will be re-opening from 1st September. All our courtyard rooms have independent, direct access from our parking area and we have instituted the recommended deep cleaning regime. We will be serving breakfast either in the room, or in our garden gazebo. We have numerous outside seating areas allowing guests to maintain social distancing while enjoying the early autumn weather. The local pubs are once again serving lunch and evening meals, so now is a great time to rediscover the Herefordshire countryside. Bowens B&B is an Award Winning, family operated guesthouse in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty near Hereford. Owners, Claire & Kevin are proud to have won the ‘Outstanding Hosts 2018 award by Eviivo. In addition we received Certificates of Excellence 2019 from both TripAdvisor and HotelsCombined. Bowens is a 17th century farmhouse set in an acre of garden in the village of Fownhope. All rooms are en-suite with bath and/or shower, TV, hairdryer, wifi, tea/coffee making facilities and either have twin or double beds. Our larger rooms can also fit a travel cot or roll away bed for a child. Our ground-floor courtyard rooms have independent access and and some rooms are accessible to those with mobility issues. Unfortunately, we cannot accept pets. All rates include full English breakfast made from locally produced bacon, eggs and award winning sausages. Fruit, cereals and juices are included and special dietary needs can be accommodated with prior notice. Located approx 20 minutes from Hereford, Ledbury and Ross-on- Wye; ideal for exploring the Herefordshire countryside and a stop for walkers on the Wye Valley Way or cyclists on Lands End to John O'Groats route. We can arrange collection or forwarding of luggage by prior arrangement. There are two pubs, a shop/post office and leisure centre/spa, all within walking distance. There are several other highly rated pubs nearby and we can help with reservations.
