Eriskay Guest House and Aviemore Glamping Information

Description

Eriskay is a family run guesthouse situated in a quiet cul-de-sac in the centre of the Highland town of Aviemore. Aviemore is a popular tourist destination, and with good reason. Lying in the middle of “Monarch of The Glen Country”, within the Cairngorms National Park and at the foot of the Cairngorm Mountains, it offers a great range of outdoor activities. Bird watching (notably Ospreys) climbing, hill walking, fishing, stalking, skiing, Strathspey Steam Railway, water sports (on Loch Morlich and Loch Insh) or touring around some of the most beautiful countryside in the Highlands of Scotland are just a few of the pastimes you can enjoy on your holiday. Eriskay is also an ideal base to tour the Highlands from, with Skye, Fort William, Inverness and Loch Ness all being within easy reach. We have 3 rooms in the main house as well as 4 accommodation eco-pods in the garden. Rooms are sold on a room only basis with the option to purchase breakfast at £5.00 per head. We are approximately 10 minutes walk from the train station and buses run from just around the corner to the ski slopes.

From the south follow B9152 (Grampian Road) north and turn left into Craig-Na-Gower Avenue. From North follow B9152 (Grampian Road) and turn right into Craig - Na - Gower Avenue. Turn right at next junction (100 mtrs approx). Turn right again into lane (Aprox 150 mtrs) Eriskay is 2nd house along drive (hidden by high hedge).
  • Air from Inverness (35.0 miles)
As well as domestic flights (all year), there are summertime flights from various continental locations to Inverness. Glasgow and Edinburgh Airports also receive flights from transatlantic locations. Inverness airport is more relaxing to travel to and closer, but flights are less frequent and may be more expensive than those to Edinburgh or Glasgow airports. Edinburgh is closer than Glasgow
  • Train from Aviemore Station (2.0 miles)
There is a sleeper train that runs directly between London Euston and Aviemore every evening of the week except Saturday. There is also a good daytime service from Edinburgh. Eriskay is just 5 minutes away from the station, and we can collect guests, by arrangement.
