Description

Azim and Suzi's centrally located apartment is situated in a prime spot for exploring Inverness sights on foot. There are a variety of shops, restaurants, cafes, pubs, Iron Works music venue, Inverness Castle and the River Ness within a short walk. Eden Court Theatre is within a 20 min walk. The bus station is within a 2 min walk and various trips have pick-up at the bus station and include dolphin cruises, Urquhart Castle and Loch Ness. The train station is within a 5 min walk. Despite the central location, previous guests have said that it tends to be quiet. The apartment is spacious and has a master bedroom with king size bed and shower ensuite, a double bedroom with a separate bathroom and shower over the bath. Both bedrooms have built-in wardrobes and drawers. The sitting room has a 40in UHD TV and internet access. There is a dining area within the sitting room and a separate kitchen. The kitchen has a washing machine, electric cooker with ceramic hobs and an oven, a microwave, cafetiere, kettle and toaster. Other amenities include cutlery, various cooking utensils, pots, pans, a wok, crockery and glasses. There are also plastic tumblers and plates should you wish for children to use. Some basics such as salt, pepper, cooking oil, sauces, a limited range of herbs and spices and UHT milk are provided. There is a foldaway bed located in the sitting room and clean bedding for this can be found in the wardrobe within the double bedroom. Guests can place the foldaway bed where they wish. Also provided are shower gel, shampoo, hair conditioner, kitchen paper, washing tablets, kitchen towels, towels and bath mats.

Azim and Suzi started on Airbnb at the end of July 2018 after decorating and doing minor renovations when they bought the apartment. We realised that we also required to go on other websites to advertise our business more broadly. However, starting off on Airbnb has been good experience and we have enjoyed gradually building our reputation and listening to our guests valuable feedback. Our aim is to continue to strive to provide a comfortable relaxing stay for our future guests and hopefully over time to have guests return or recommend us to others. Azim is from Bangladesh and has stayed here for several years. Although Suzi has lived here for many years, she has lived and worked abroad. Both of us love travel and have enjoyed camping on the west coast of Scotland and regularly visit relations in the Outer Hebrides. There are many places we hope to travel to in the future, but at present our ability to do so is limited due to starting our new business venture and other commitments such as family and work. Azim works away intermittently and Suzi works in Inverness. We both love to meet people from near and far and appreciate when guests recommend highlights of their trip.

The apartment is situated on second floor of apartment block. It can be accessed by stairs or an elevator.

Directions

  • Train from Train station (0.3 miles)
    Exit on to Academy Street, turn right and turn right again on to Strothers Lane. Farraline Court apartment block entrance is opposite TKMaxx. The bus station is located directly behind the apartment block on Margaret Street.
