Description

Chale Bay Farm has three lovely self-catering holiday apartments, plus a stand-alone luxury ensuite bedroom and a shared Gym and Sauna as well as courtyard with water-garden, extensive lawns, gardens, paddock and large gravel car park with EV Charging. The peaceful setting make us a perfect hideaway for romantic breaks and long weekends - a special place to stay while you explore the numerous activities on the Isle of Wight or just relax. We welcome short breaks, family getaways and seaside holidays. Our self-catering apartments feature a contemporary open-plan, fully-equipped kitchen with oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer and adjacent dining and lounge space. The lounges are air-conditioned with large HD satellite smart TVs with access to all the popular streaming facilities including Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, BritBox and YouTube. The main bedrooms are air-conditioned and feature a super-king-size double bed with Egyptian cotton bedding, seating, dressing table and plenty of wardrobe and drawer space with ensuite bathroom that includes a full size bath with powerful shower, heated towel rail and hair dryer. They also feature a 40" HD Satellite TV, DVD Player and modern clock/radio. For additional security there is also a safe in which is large enough to accommodate most laptops. Second bedrooms have two full size single beds and their own TVs. In Needles View and Purbeck View the second bedroom is on a mezzanine floor accessible via stairs from the main bedroom (no door between), making it ideal for families with pre-teen children. Note that Tennyson View is NOT self catering but is an add-on room to the main apartments or for people wishing to eat meals out. There is free Internet connectivity provided via high performance WiFi access available throughout the entire property. *Activities listed are available from third parties on the Isle of Wight, not the property itself.

We have operated Chale Bay Farm initially as a B&B but now as self-catering apartments since 2011 and hope to make your stay as enjoyable as possible We live on site in the Farmhouse and manage the property together with our cleaning and maintenance team, so we can be quickly be on hand to answer your questions or help in the unlikely event of a problem.     At the church in Chale turn right and we are 250 yards on your left.


  • Road from The North via the M40 (95.0 miles)

    From the North on the M40 pick up the A34 southbound from the Oxford Ring Road

    Turn right onto the M3 towards Southampton

    Follow signs for the Docks

    Take the Red Funnel Ferry to the Isle of Wight

    Follow signs to Newport, Sandown, Rookley and Chale

    At the church in Chale turn right and we are 250 yards on your left.

  • Road from The West via the A303 (117.0 miles)

    Follow the A303 until its junction with the A36 towards Salisbury

    Take the A36 to Lymington

    Take the Wightlink Ferry to the Isle of Wight

    Follow signs to Totland, Freshwater Bay

    at Freshwater Bay take the Military Road South Eastwards towards Brighstone, Chale and Ventnor

    We are at the south eastern end of the Military Road on your right 250 yards before you reach Chale Church (on your left).

    For a more scenic route consider the A37 and A338 to Lymington.
