The hostel has two lounges a large self catering kitchen a dining room and 19 bedrooms. The hostel can accommodate 60 guests. The rooms are a mixture of 2,3,4,5,6 bedded rooms. Seven of the rooms are ensuite. All rooms have wash basins. PLEASE NOTE: Our latest check in time is 22:00, anyone arriving after this time will be refused entry unless arranged with management beforehand.
This mixture of bed room size makes it very popular with groups, families and individuals. The two lounges both have TVs and DVD facilities. The dining room doubles as a large area for group activities with “surround sound” and projection facilities with a large fold down presentation screen. The projector can be used for DVD or PC presentations.The hostel has a BT high speed broadband and a hostel WiFi network free for the use of the all the guests.
We have many groups that accommodate the hostel for educational tour and special interest group meetings – i.e. learning about English culture/history, birthday and anniversary parties, Scout/Guides and Church group meetings.
Small Families groups often meet from far and wide just to reunite in a great location that meets all the ages’ needs.
Individuals find our location great when travelling on foot or bike exploring the local area using the “Viking trail “a popular cycle and walking trail which runs passed the hostel. Because of our location being only 50M from the blue flag sandy beach we also have individual’s canoeists exploring the coast line, wind surfers and kite surfers.

Trainfrom Margate Train Station(3.0 miles)
From the main beach and railway station go (west) out of town on the A28 Canterbury Road, passing the Royal Sea Bathing Hospital and turn right into Westbrook Gardens after the Tesco Express. Look out for the brown Youth Hostel road sign on the right before the railway bridge. The hostel is the third building along Royal Esplanade seafront.
