THE RED HOUSE The Red House offers friendly, value for money bed and breakfast accommodation in comfortable and relaxing surroundings, 5-minutes´ walk from Grantham's town centre. We have a 4-star rating from Visit England. The Red House is an historic Grade II listed Georgian townhouse, dating from 1795, and retains many of its original features. We are easily accessible from the A1 and A52, and a 2-minute taxi ride from Grantham train station. There is ample free parking in front of the house. ROOMS We have single, double, twin, triple and family guest rooms. Most of our rooms have ensuite facilities. Others rooms have a private bathroom, not shared with other guests. Two of our rooms have shared facilities. Our rooms are furnished to a high standard and are equipped with televisions , mini-fridges, microwaves, coffee and tea making facilities, irons and ironing boards, hair dryers, fans, and crockery. BREAKFAST Breakfast costs £8.50 per guest. It is served between 7.30 and 8.30 a.m. on weekdays and between 8.00 and 9.00 a.m. at weekends. Our breakfast includes a choice of cereals (including our home-made muesli), fruit, yoghurt and a full English breakfast, or lighter alternatives, including vegetarian options. We source local ingredients (prize-winning Lincolnshire sausages, bacon, free range eggs, organic tomatoes) and serve freshly ground Arabica coffee. FREE WIFI All guest rooms have access to a high speed Wi-Fi connection (200 Mbs Virgin Broadband). PARKING There is ample free unlimited parking in front of the house on a wide pavement. Free parking is also available to the side and rear of the property. HISTORY OF THE RED HOUSE The Red House is a Grade II listed Georgian townhouse, dating from 1795. The house retains many original features, as well as a historic courtyard garden.

Accessibility

Free parking available on the widened pavement outside the house 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Entry to the property on North Parade via three wide stone steps from pavement to front door. Front door is 850mm in width. There are two door bells beside the front door. Ring either or both. Front door leads to a corridor/hallway. Checking in takes place in the breakfast room on the ground floor. 1 double ensuite room available on the ground floor. Rooms on first, and second floors via staircase. Staircase has a minimum width of 660mm and a maximum width of 700mm, with steps that are 220mm in depth. The staircase to first floor main landing consists of 11 steps, then a small landing followed by a further 5 steps. The staircase from the first floor main landing to the second floor main landing consists of 11 steps, then a small landing followed by a further 5 steps. A handrail is available for support.

    Take the first exit off the A1 into Grantham signposted 'Great Gonerby'. Go through the village of Great Gonerby. Follow the road down the hill into Grantham. You'll pass under a railway bridge and then you'll see the King's Hotel on the left. The Red House Guest House is about 100 metres further along the road on the left. You can park on the forecourt in front of the house.
  • Road from Coming from the A1 South (0.0 miles)
    Take the third exit into Grantham (the A52). Follow the road for a mile or so into the town. You'll go down a hill and under a railway bridge before coming to a roundabout (ASDA supermarket will be on your right). Go straight on keeping in the left lane. Turn left into North Parade at the traffic lights. The Red House Guest House is about 200 metres on the right. You can park on the forecourt in front of the house.
  • Road from Coming from the A52 (Nottingham Side) (0.0 miles)
    Follow the A52 into the town. You'll go down a hill and under a railway bridge before coming to a roundabout (ASDA supermarket will be on your right). Go straight on keeping in the left lane. Turn left into North Parade at the traffic lights. The Red House Guest House is about 200 metres on the right. You can park on the forecourt in front of the house.
  • Road from Coming from the A52 (Boston Side) (0.0 miles)
    Follow the A52 into the town. You'll pass along the high street and pass the Angel and Royal Hotel on your right. Carry on until you come to a major set of traffic lights (ASDA supermarket will be on your left). Go straight on at the lights into North Parade. The Red House Guest House is about 200 metres on the right. You can park on the forecourt in front of the house.
  • Road from Coming from the A607 (Melton Mowbray Side) (0.0 miles)
    Follow the A607 into the town. After going under the railway bridge take the left lane before the traffic lights. Then turn left keeping in the middle lane. Continue to the ASDA roundabout taking the 3rd exit keeping in the left lane. Turn left at the lights into North Parade. The Red House is 200 yards on the right.
