Description

Kia Ora and welcome to Aotearoa Southport Bed & Breakfast – A Slice of New Zealand in the Heart of Southport. Your hosts, Denise & Vince were both born in New Zealand and welcome you to their slice of New Zealand. We are a small family run Bed & Breakfast in a modern, private house, just minutes walk from the centre of Southport, a seaside resort in the North West of England. At present in these uncertain times with Covid-19 and because we live on the property, we are only selling one room unless you are travelling in your bubble together. All stays at present are a minimum of two nights to enable us to cope with the higher level of cleaning required and the resting of rooms in between guests. Please contact us with any enquiries by phone or email. We specialise in providing a friendly welcome to both humans and dogs alike, and Leroy and Ziva our friendly German Short-haired pointers look forward to meeting all dogs and their well-behaved humans. Please note that if you do not like dogs or are nervous around them, please do not book with us. Dogs are welcome for an additional charge and we can advise you on the dog friendly attractions in the local area - you are required to request the right to bring your dog before your stay so we can ensure you meet the requirements. Please note - we do not accept bookings for dogs through online travel agencies - only on our website or by phoning us. We are knowledgeable about the local area, are keen golfers and mountain bike riders and can offer advice/assistance on local places to ride and explore. Our property is a gated secure property with CCTV protection. Please note - Bank Holidays and special events in town are 2 night min stays.

Accessibility

We do not have any disabled access as our bedrooms are all on the 1st floor. We do however have stair rails for those guests who require something to hold onto going up the stairs. All ensuite showers are double sized with plenty of room for those who require more space. We do not have rails in the shower for assisting with those with mobility issues.

Directions

  • Train from Southport Train Station (0.7 miles)
    Follow Scarisbrick St, Mornington Rd and Hill St to Lord St/A565, Continue on Lord St/A565 to Part St, Turn right onto Part St, The B&B will be on the right.
  • Road from Town Centre (0.6 miles)
    Our Property is a quiet oasis in the centre of town and our building is not really visable from the street. We are accessible from either Portland Street (right hand side of road) or Duke Street (left hand side of road). There is a sign on the street and we are situated down the long driveway between two sets of white flats. Drive down the driveway, stop at the gates and ring the buzzer. We will open the gates for you and tell you where to park. Parking is free.
