Description

Set in the historic market town of Aylsham, this Grade ii listed building, where Nelson once danced, is well known for its lively bar, fabulous food, warm welcome and stylish rooms with modern en-suites. Our rooms are decorated in calming Farrow and Ball neutrals with white accessories, they all have wall mounted smart TVs and complementary tea, coffee, biscuits and toiletries. The Black Boys Hotel is ideally situated for visiting the historic City of Norwich with its Norman Castle and Cathedral only 15 minutes away, the Norfolk Broads National Park can be reached using the unique single gauge railway from Aylsham, North Norfolk is less than 20 minutes away, and of course Blickling Hall can be reached on foot and Felbrigg Hall is a short drive away. Getting here couldn't be easier, we are on a direct bus route from norwich, and only 11 minutes from Norwich International Airport. There is a friendly bar with well kept cask marque acreditted real ales, seven lagers, fine wine list and not to mention the 25 gins. We have two different dining areas as well as a outside seating where you can enjoy the hustle and bustle in the market place. The Black Boys hotel is part of the Colchester Inns family group established in 1989. Matt has been there since 2003, he and his team are proud of their reputation for great food served in generous portions. Our food is prepared using quality produce, sourced locally wherever possible and used in season for the finest results, our relationship with suppliers dates back over 25 years. Across the whole operation the Colchester Inns looks to offer a superior product at a fair price, our aim, has and will always will be to offer good service and value for money. Our location means there are numerous walks on our door step taking you through glorious countryside and country parks. Aylsham really does have it all, Auction Rooms, Boutique shopping, weekly markets, cafes and even tennis courts.

Run by the Colchester Inns Team. Established in 1989 the team have worked together in other sites and are loving the opportunity to run such a unique pub. Where going to work is truly a pleasure.
