Norfolk Mead

Sorrel is a regal deluxe hotel room that can be tailored to a twin or double room to suit your requirements. Intimate and cosy, the en-suite rain shower room completes the Sorrel experience. An additional roll-away bed can be added for a child (Suitable for up to 12yrs).

Blackberry is our newest Cottage that will sleep up to six people in a relaxed environment. Three bedrooms (one en suite) and a large lounge area are ideal for families or groups of friends wanting to get away from it all. With its own entrance and private terrace area, Blackberry will be your group holiday accommodation home from home.

The Samphire Suite is ideal for losing yourself and getting away from it all. It comes furnished with a four-poster bed, free-standing bath, and separate en-suite bathroom, bringing a little bit of colonial charm to The Norfolk Mead. Facing the main lawn, The Samphire Suite provides a haven to enjoy the morning sunshine. An additional child's roll-away bed can be added to this room suitable for up to 12yrs).

Chanterelle is our bridal suite with double french doors leading to the grand Juliette balcony, providing fantastic views across the hotel water gardens and down to the River Bure. The super king-size bed provides an incredible space to slumber or simply relax and the en-suite bathroom with a free-standing bath and rain-shower means preparing for or re-living a special occasion is an intimate and relaxing experience. An additional roll-away bed for a child can be added to this room (suitable for up to 12yrs)

Sweet Chestnut is our recently refurbished cottage that will sleep up to four people in relaxed, spacious luxury. Two bedrooms and a lounge area are ideal for families or groups of friends and featuring its own entrance and private terrace area, will be your home from home for group stays.

The Norfolk Mead's Beechnut is located sixty yards from the hotel. Our Beechnut decor is luxurious with a super king-size, four-poster bed, en-suite facilities, a separate lounge (including sofa bed), and comes with its own private access and outside area.

On the second floor in the eaves of the Norfolk Mead hotel, the arched window from Damson provides glorious views over the main gardens, private lake, and River Bure. The king-size bed is positioned perfectly to enjoy the views with the morning paper and breakfast in bed if you are so inclined. Stout beams give the room a charming and reliable feel, whilst the bathroom provides a luxuriously modern bathing experience with a walk-in rain shower.

Sea Beet is approximately 50 yards from the hotel. It has its own private access and outside terraced area. The room’s decor is luxurious, with a super-king bed, en-suite facilities, and a separate lounge (featuring a sofa-bed). Sea Beet is the perfect family room hotel in Norfolk.

Hawthorn feels like a luxurious cottage rather than a hotel room. The sumptuous king-size bedroom leads to an open-plan bathroom with a walk-in rain shower and relaxing lounge area. Large bay windows make this the lightest room in the hotel. The french doors step down to a terracotta private terrace where evening drinks or a delicious hotel breakfast can complete a romantic stay at The Norfolk Mead.

A split-level deluxe room, Juniper has its own front door, courtyard, and reception area and is the dog-friendly hotel room at the hotel where pets can properly feel at home. The modern bathroom with a walk-in rain shower is twinned with the simple farmhouse bedroom with a cast iron fireplace for cosy autumnal evenings in a private haven. Please note; the bedroom is accessed by a staircase.

Horseradish is a quirky and unique small Standard room on the second floor, in the eaves of The Norfolk Mead. The 5ft double bed fits the space perfectly making Horseradish a room for relaxation and contemplation before freshening up in the walk-in shower and then heading down to the snug Bar for pre-dinner drinks.

Sloe is a peaceful, cosy hotel room to escape and recharge after a hectic day, located on the second floor of The Norfolk Mead. A night in the cedar-wood sleigh bed and elevated views over the main laws pushes worries to one side. An additional roll-away bed can be added to this room for a child. (Suitable for up to 12yrs)

Rosehip is a deluxe, east-facing hotel room, guaranteed to catch the morning sunshine. The king-size double bed and comfortably appointed furniture make Rosehip feel like home, a feeling accentuated by the modern bathroom with rain-shower, which offers comfort and function in equal measure. An additional child's rollaway bed can be added (suitable for up to age 12yrs)

The Elderberry deluxe hotel room faces the sweeping driveway and main lawns. The large sash windows make this one of the lightest and most welcoming rooms at The Norfolk Mead. Crab Apple is our recently refurbished spacious and luxuriously appointed Summer House that sleeps two people, with room for up to four people (two adults & two children) for a small additional cost. The open plan layout makes this ideal for families with enough room to relax and spread out during your stay. The private terrace extends the exclusive feel of the Summer House, making Crab Apple the ideal room to lose yourself for a few days. (Up to two roll-away beds can be added in the lounge at a rate of £35.00 per roll-away per night. Roll-away beds suitable for ages up to 12yrs).
