Evelyn House is a charming mid terrace 18th century cottage, still with a few original beams and character features. It was originally converted from a row of shops and is tucked away in the heart of the preservation area of the village. Very comfortably furnished and well-equipped in traditional and modern styles, the property would suit couples looking to escape for a few days with friends, or small family. Ground floor; entrance into modern tiled, kitchen with two bistro chairs and table handy for a quick snack or coffee, plus staircase. Large lounge with wood flooring, dining area and feature gas fire plus front entrance. First floor; Two bedrooms, one with a 4’ bed and the master room with a lovely French double bed and two steps down to small en suite wet room with shower, WC and washbasin. Family bathroom with bath having shower attachment on taps (situated under eaves so guests must be aware of low level ceiling), WC and washbasin. There is a front entrance but with private parking at the rear, it is easier to access the cottage from the pretty courtyard garden - perfect for returning to after exploring the area. There is mostly all-day sunshine so eating and sitting outside is a restful end to a busy day. With gas central heating the property is warm and inviting for holidays over the cooler months too. Parking: private space at the rear behind garden. Garden; Small courtyard garden. Very handy for exploring this beautiful Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Snettisham is only 4 miles from the popular resort of Hunstanton and 11 miles from historic port of Kings Lynn where there are good public transport links from North and the South by train or bus. If you don’t want to stay amidst the hustle and bustle of the coast, then this property and village is ideal. The Farm Park at the back of the village will prove popular with visitors all year.

  • Road from Kings Lynn (10.0 miles)
    From Kings Lynn Hardwick Roundabout follow signs to Hunstanton. Once off the very large roundabout (Hardwick) at Kings Lynn there will be 3 more individual smaller roundabouts.  On the final one at Dersingham take first turn still on A149.  Travel to the next little roundabout and take the second exit back into Snettisham village. Go steadily through till you find the 'Co-op' store. Take immediate left into Chruch Road. Round the bed you will see 'Ridgeons' Builders Merchants and Hardware Store.  Drive to the left of the big entrance door in front and you will be behind Ridgeons building.  It is a narrow private road.  ON the back fence on the left you will find Evelyn Cottage. You may park at the back of the fence.  There is a front entrance to the cottage from School Road but only on foot.
