Curlew Cottage is a charming little brick and carrstone, character cottage just waiting for holiday guests, on the edge of this popular village of Thornham. Quietly situated but only a few minutes’ walk to the local pubs and hostelries, this is a unique location to escape to at any time of year! The marshes are easily accessible for long dreamy walks to the old harbour and the beach beyond with a small car park if necessary. Perfect for bird watchers, walkers and those wishing to relax away from city hustle and bustle, will find the area impressive and want to return again. The cottage is furnished in an attractive characteristic style in some areas and having modern attributes elsewhere. First impressions are deceptive as the accommodation is larger inside! Mostly carpeted throughout with electric radiator central heating. Ground floor; Front entrance into lounge with feature fire place and comfortable seating. 32 inch Freeview TV/DVD and door to small lobby and staircase. Dining room leading through to the kitchen having electric oven and hob. Separate WC with washbasin. Rear door to garden. Staircase (a bit steep). First floor; First floor landing with two bedrooms, one with double bed and views extending over the marshes to the sea and the other with twins. Bathroom with bath having shower over, WC and washbasin. Garden; A lawned garden with picnic furniture shared with the adjoining cottage at the rear. Charcoal BBQ Parking; There is parking for 2 cars on the grass in front of the cottage. Please note that pillows and duvet are feather filled.

  • Road from King's Lynn (19.0 miles)
    From A149 at Kings Lynn, follow signs to Hunstanton and then to  Cromer, still on A149 coast road. Holme is the next village and then Thornham. Go through the village until you see the Orange Tree Pub on your left. Turn left here in to Church Road. Follow the road round taking a sharp bend to the right. Go past 2 very large houses with balconies on the right...... The 4 cottages are set back from the green on the right just a little further along. Curlew Cottage is the one with Red door. No 3.  Park on the green in front of the cottages.
