Motorists can enjoy the changing scenes of remote country roads and walkers have a splendid choice of footpaths providing easy or challenging walks.
Visitors can explore castles, museums, farms and tea rooms. There are workshops where, Wensleydale cheese, ice-cream, chocolate, rope and teapots are made. Horse-riding, fishing, golf, and swimming are just some of the activities which can be enjoyed nearby.

Lowater cabin has been made accessible for guests with additional needs with ramped access, 2 x single beds in the front bedroom or can be converted to 1x bed so a wheelchair has full access.The bathroom has a wet room including additional fittings to assist your stay.
Fossdale has less steps to access the cabin than our other cabins.

Roadfrom The A1 at Leeming Bar(17.0 miles)
Leave the A1 at Leeming Bar (Junction 51) & travel west on the A684 through Bedale and Leyburn. Just over a mile beyond Leyburn, in Wensley, turn right (signposted Redmire & Castle Bolton). Keep straight on for 3 miles ignoring right hand turns to Preston-under-Scar and Catterick. You will bear sharp left under a railway arch and the entrance to The Jonas Centre is immediately on your left. Take the left hand fork and follow signs to ‘Reception’. Take care driving down the hill to reception.
Roadfrom The M6 Junction 37(34.0 miles)
Leave the M6 at J37 & travel east on the A684 through Sedbergh and Hawes. About half a mile past Aysgarth turn left towards Aysgarth Falls. Travel down the hill, over the bridge and then in half a mile, at T-junction, turn right through Carperby.
In just under 3 miles the road turns sharp left into Redmire. Continue on that road with village greens on your left. On leaving the village, The Jonas Centre entrance is directly ahead of you on the right before the road bears left under the bridge.
