Tucked away from the hustle and bustle, Clarence Cottage is a beautifully presented 2-bedroom property within a five minute walk from the town centre. You will find a wealth of restaurants, cafes and quaint shops nearby, and the famous “Bothams Tearoom” . Suitable for a couples, families or just a base to explore Whitby and the surrounding areas. The cottage is within walking distance to the leisure centre, pannett park, swimming pool, Whitby Spa Pavilion Theatre and blue flagged beaches. Whitby has so much to offer from , arcades , sunset boat trips, local pubs, fine dining restuarants and a wealth of fish and chip shops , including the famous Magpie Cafe. Not only that but this pretty old whaling town offers a wealth of history, whether its exploring Bram Stokers famous Dracula tale, walking up the 199 steps to the Whitby Abbey, or discovering the local quaint shops in the old town. On the outskirts of Whitby you can explore Dalby forest for those who love a bit of adventure with mountain bike trails or a gentle walk exploring the forest,You can also take a ride on the North Yorkshire railway discovering Goathland ( Heartbeat Country ) or the steam engine sheds at Grosmont. All this along with annual themed events such as Goth Weekend, Steampunk weekend and Whitby Regatta, ensures there is something for everyone. Ideal for families, groups of friends or business visitors who want a bit of space, the cottage has a kitchen-living room perfect for relaxing on the sofa in front of the TV, enjoying a morning coffee or tucking into a delicious supper at the dining table. The fully-equipped kitchen has a hob, fan oven, microwave and dining sets for at least four guests. A separate washer/dryer is also available. There are 2 bedrooms in the cottage one Double and one Twin. There is also a family bathroom and a second shower room available.

For visitors who do not wish to keep to a hotel or guesthouse timetable, Clarence Cottage offers greater flexibility without compromising on comfort or care. Guests can enjoy a true home from home.     The best way to find us is follow the West Cliff signs onto the seafront .When you come onto the seafront follow it down heading towards the Whale bones, when Clara's coffee shop appears on your left hand side take the immediate right (Esplanade) and follow the road down until the road narrows ( Skinner street ) . You will find the Granby pub on your right hand side .The narrow cobbled street  to the right of the Granby pub is the correct road and you will find Clarence Cottage on your right hand side. There is a holiday cottage sign on the building.
