Description

Falstaff House is our latest cottage in Alnwick. It has been completely refurbished and opened for guests in April 2017. It is Grade II listed with lovely original features including original wooden shutters. A tasteful living room leads through to the brand new pretty kitchen and patio doors lead to the patio area. Upstairs there are two double bedrooms, one with twin beds and the other with a kingsize bed, sofa and en-suite. There is also a separate family bathroom down a short corridor from the twin room.

Description

This charming terraced stone cottage is located within five minute's walk of the Castle and Gardens. Rumour has it that the Juliet Cottage's row of cottages was built by the Duke of Northumberland many years ago to house Italian artisans invited to work on the ornate plastering of Alnwick Castle. The cottage is very sweet and cosy and an excellent base to be close to everything going on in Alnwick. There is a lounge diner, a separate kitchen, double bedroom and a second bedroom with good quality, full adult-sized solid wood bunks. The pretty shower room is tastefully decorated.

There is a lovely large light and airy kitchen/diner. The living room is spacious and pretty. Upstairs there are two stylish large bedrooms, a double bed in one and twin beds in the other. There is a pretty bathroom which has been recently fully refurbished and which has underfloor heating.

Description

At Alnwick Cottages, we do our best to make you feel at home as soon as you step through the door. Our cottages are fully equipped with tea, coffee, sugar & a pint of fresh milk in the fridge. You will be greeted with fresh flowers and our welcome basket. We also have mod cons like free Wi-Fi and a flat screen TV with free view and Netflix. We believe that a good night’s sleep is essential to a happy holiday, so the beds all have great mattresses, and good quality, fresh cotton bedding and towels are also provided. The cottages are only minutes away from the world famous Alnwick Castle (home of Harry Potter and the 12th Duke of Northumberland!) and the Alnwick Gardens. Alnwick is a gateway town to the whole of the beautiful Northumbrian coast (Alnmouth beach is only 4.5 miles away) and wonderful countryside. The cottage is an excellent base for those needing to unwind and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the Northumberland countryside, spectacular heritage coastline, ancient castles, breathtaking scenery and yet only minutes away from the hustle and bustle of a quaint market town.
