Description

For the perfect Holiday retreat, Get together or Wedding group in the Cotswolds, you will find it here at Buscot Manor a beautifully elegant and opulent 1692 Queen Anne Manor House idyllically positioned on the edge of the Cotswolds oozing Luxury and privacy in this historic, tranquil National Trust Village of Buscot. Situated within substantial grounds within walking distance of the River Thames for boating and Buscot Weir for wild swimming it is perfectly located set in the heart of rural Oxfordshire. There are a multitude of fabulous local attractions around Oxford, Burford, Cirencester and Cheltenham. The Manor has been fully refurbished by Dolly Daydream Designs a renowned interior designer to the Stars with large inviting receptions ; Drawing Room with chandelier, shutters on the leaded windows and open fireplace. Our elegant dining room seats 12 formally or 20+ informally and we offer private dining with chefs should you wish. Alternatively enjoy the Garden Room with deep comfortable sofas with a book or our Playroom/Office for working or watch a movie or play a traditional game or two. In the heart of the home is our welcoming warm Kitchen/Breakfast room centred around a Farmhouse table seating 6 with a 5 oven Aga, additional electric oven and 5 ring hob, dishwasher and washing machine. In summer months throw open the stable door leading you out onto the lawn which leads to the BBQ area with seating for all. Upstairs you will find large indulgently furnished bedrooms with either huge Four Poster or large french inspired beds all with seating areas around fireplaces or features all with wonderful views across the Gardens. Our spacious bathrooms have had the Buscot touch too being uniquely furnished with deep roll top baths. The Manor although a Heritage Building is fully centrally heated with the bonus of having open fires and a woodburner and if you need to work whilst you are with us we have fast fibre broadband.

Our family has been privileged to live in this area for four generations and are delighted to welcome you experience this little slice of heaven nestled on the edge of the Cotswolds . It is as though time has stopped still and a moment to rest, relax and recuperate in this secret paradise. Our aim is for you to love Buscot Manor like we do and to enjoy the vast array of attractions and activities locally - please let us know what your preferences are and we will do our very utmost to assist. We love the Countryside and Culture that abound all around us with all of the fantastic places to visit.

Accessibility

GARDEN LODGE is on the Ground Floor with it's own private entrance directly to allow easy access for a car and to the garden. Entrance Hallway to Large Studio room with seating area, King Size Bed and option for an additional single size bed or a travel cot subject to availability with an en suite shower room Fully equipped Kitchenette with breakfast bar, washing machine, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster and kettle. Bathroom with a shower with integral grab wall for ease of access, small low level sink for wheelchair access and a specially fitted wc. If you wish to add this to your booking please contact me for details and to check availability. In some instances depending on the length of your stay there may not be an additional charge.

A car is recommended when staying at the property
  • Road from Faringdon (5.0 miles)
    Between Faringdon and Lechlade on south side of A417. Turn right into the Village of Buscot with the little village Hall on your right hand side, past the Buscot water pump & Buscot Tea Rooms on your right . Buscot Manor is at the end of the lane on the left hand side just after the sign for Buscot Weir. Approach through the large double wooden gates and Parking is to the rear of Buscot Manor.   • Bus from Oxford (18.0 miles)
    It is possible to catch the Stagecoach No 66 Bus to Faringdon which leaves regularly throughout the day and takes approx 49mins. Here is a link :- https://www.stagecoachbus.com/routes/west/66/oxford-faringdon/xsbo066.i From Faringdon we are 4 miles by Taxi or bicycle
  • Bus from Swindon (12.0 miles)

    Take the S6 Stagecoach Bus in the direction of Oxford and Faringdon is the closest town to Buscot Village.
