The old stable block has been recently converted into a large elegant luxury suite. The bedroom has a light and natural feel with a stunning mahogany suite of furniture, four large roof lights, stylish green soft furnishings and a limestone floor. Meanwhile, the living room offers a sleek, modern kitchen and comfortable seating area, aswell as a glazed screen overlooking your own private garden. To top it all off, there is a relaxing hottub. A large TV is built into the fire breast above a feature fire. There is a side room with tea and coffee making facilities and space for storage. A large luxurious bathroom features a spacious walk-in shower, a two person bath and twin basins. Both the bedroom and living room open out onto idyllic private walled gardens, surrounded by beautifully planted borders.

This self-contained cottage is within the old dairy on the ground floor of the barn conversion. It has a cosy traditional feel with oak floors and joinery and is the perfect retreat for a relaxing holiday. It features an open plan living kitchen dining room. This room opens out onto private garden areas to both east and west creating a lovely bright space. It has a large leather sofa and a living flame effect feature fire for relaxing in the evening: a full well stocked kitchen including dishwasher, plus a separate dining area. The bedroom has an impressive oak surround bedhead with feature lighting and padded back. The super king bed can be split into twin single beds if required. The bedroom benefits from a large en-suite shower room. This cottage is suitable for dogs with a secure rear garden area.

Description

This eco-cottage combines the best of modern luxury with rural charm. The architect owner has created this luxurious, self-contained cottage with its own private gardens and entrance. It is attached to the owners lovely stone B&B and is surrounded by 6 acres of wonderful gardens, orchards, woods and fields, which guests are free to explore. We are happy to introduce you to a range of animals we keep on our farm. Well behaved dogs are welcome and the small rear private garden is fully enclosed. Ideally located for a City Break and with stunning countryside walks from the farm, you will enjoy the perfect getaway.

Alex and Rachel welcome you to this truly special location. We provide a relaxed and friendly welcome to all our guests to ensure that you will love staying at Bank View Farm. We enjoy making the farm and its gardens beautiful. Over many years we have lovingly built this stunning eco-home which is powered by ground source heat pumps using the highest standards of construction and with the latest technology to provide high levels of comfort. We have also planted acres of woodland and miles of native hedgerow to encourage the local wildlife. We have planted orchards and created extensive gardens, including large vegetable and soft fruit gardens. You will be able to enjoy our delicious jams, honey, apple juice & fresh eggs from the farm and fruit & vegetables from the garden.

Accessibility

The Dairy Holiday Cottage was originally designed with level access, wide doors and a wet room to accommodate a wheelchair user. For guests with mobility issues we are happy to provide level access through the bed and breakfast although where this is not required access is via its own private entrance down a flight of 8 stone steps with a secure handrail. Once inside the room it is all level with doors suitable for wheelchair access and use. There is a level access shower. Directions

Road from Sheffield City Centre (5.0 miles)

Follow signs to A621 Bakewell. As you follow this road out of Sheffield the last area you pass through is Totley 5 miles south of the City Centre. As you pass Totley you pass a large pub on the right called the Cross Scythes and then pass a road on the right called Hillfoot Road sign posted to Dore. Lane Head Road is the next road on your right just as you pass the last house before your enter open countryside. Turn right onto Lane Head Road, drop down the hill and Moss Road is first road on the left. The farm access is 50 yards up Moss Road on your right.
Train from Sheffield Train Station (6.0 miles)

We are six miles south of Sheffield Station. Taxis are available at the station.
Train from Dore and Totley Station (2.0 miles)

We are about two miles south of Dore and Totley Station
Bus from Sheffield Centre (5.0 miles)

The 97 & 218 buses come past the end of the road. They run approximately every 30 minutes during the day.
