This property is 14 minutes walk from the beach. Aberthaw House Hotel is set in the charming West End of Barry, just a 10-minute drive from the M4 motorway. The property was built in 1892 and boasts some original features. It offers full cooked breakfasts, ensuite bathrooms, digital TV, with DVD players, Ironing boards and fantastic views of Barry town and there is free WiFi available throughout the building. The hotel has a bar available from 17,00 to 20.00hrs Monday to Saturday, as Our beer Garden is open when ever the sun is shining, for you to catch some rays while drinking your way through our treasured menu. Aberthaw House Hotel is central to all activities and local entertainment, Whether your trip is for business or pleasure there are areas for you to unwind and enjoy. You can take leisurely walks or cycle to see our local beauty, or take a look at High St where you can indulge in the boutiques and cafes. We are close to local bars and Restaurants. Barry Island is the towns greatest attraction for the beaches, fun fair, crazy golf, bars, restaurants and during the summer months there are many weekend entertainment for families, couples and lone adventurers.

Aberthaw House Hotel is ran by Helen and Jon Redbourn, they have been running the Hotel since 2004, but they have lived in the area all there lives. Between them they have accumulated 60 years experience in the Tourism and restaurant industry. Helen started in the industry as a chambermaid at the Copthorne Hotel and worked her way up to a Premier Inn Manager. Jon started his career as a teenager cell-man, within several years he became one of the youngest Managers of Bass inns. After meeting each other there dream was to run there very own Hotel which they still enjoy. They are lucky enough to have a great team around them, made up of there enthusiastic family. They all enjoy the day to day running of the Hotel, keeping the original features of the 126 year old building, while adding personal quirky touches. The Family hope to see you soon!
