Description

The Alma Inn is a traditional countryside pub with guest rooms, set in an idyllic rural location in the hamlet of Cottonstones, near Sowerby Bridge, Halifax. Offering a warm Yorkshire welcome to visitors for around 150 years, The Alma has earned a reputation as one of Calderdale’s finest traditional countryside inns, with open fires, stone-flagged floors and an abundance of charm and character. The heart of the local community, we serve a selection of hand-pulled real ales alongside an extensive drinks menu and have a large outdoor seating area, which can accommodate around 200 people and boasts unforgettable panoramic views of the Ryburn Valley.. Our 5 recently refurbished guest bedrooms offer the perfect escape for a short break or overnight stay, and our location in the heart of the Calderdale countryside makes us the perfect base from which to explore the local area.

We have disabled access via the side of the building. The bedrooms are all on the first floor and do not have disabled access.

Directions

Road from Sowerby Bridge Station (2.8 miles)

Head west on Station Road towards West Street / A58. Follow the A58 for 1.3 miles, then turn right onto Oak Hill. Continue onto Oak Lane, then onto Mill Bank Road. Follow the road for 0.5 miles, continuing onto Lumb Lane. Continue for 0.3 miles and turn left onto Alma Lane. We are on the right hand side.
