South Park Farm Barn Information

Description

South Park Farm Barn is a modern, well appointed building offering spacious, comfortable bed and breakfast guest accommodation. Nestling in tranquil woodland, in the rolling countryside of the Hampshire-Wiltshire border, it has been lovingly converted by your hosts, Casie and Ian, whose home it is and who are always on hand to meet guests' needs. The Barn is a design triumph of wood, steel, glass and brick – a modern, spacious, eco-friendly building, yet still manages to retain the charm of its more ancient structure. Bright and airy with vaulted timber-beamed ceilings, each of the Barn’s suites is a generous-sized double bedroom with its own bathroom attached or adjacent to it. Travertine-lined with that luxury feel, the bathrooms have waterfall showers, full length baths, heated towel rails and underfloor heating. Plump pillows, duvets to suit the season and crisp cotton linen adorn comfortable king-sized beds with the aim of ensuring a good night’s slumber. Large TV screens with access to an extensive Sky TV package viewed from comfortable chairs add that essential entertainment touch. You will be welcome to relax on the Barn’s first-floor sunset gallery – so called for its enveloping glazed porch and the aspect it affords of sunset through the trees and across the fields to the west of the barn. The gallery's comfortable sofa provides an ideal spot on which to relax and reflect. In addition you will be welcome to explore the grounds with its three acres of oak trees, woodland and wildflower meadow. Breakfast is a relaxed affair at the oak refectory table in the central porch area where glazed doors open onto banks of wildflowers when the season is right. Underfloor heating ensures an ambient environment all year round whatever the season. Orange juice, cereals, toast, tea and coffee and cooked breakfasts are served to suit your timing, between 7:30am and 9:00am.

As guests you can be sure of a warm welcome at the Barn wherever you come from and whatever the reason for your visit. Your hosts will be pleased to help make your stay memorable and enjoyable. Drawing on a wealth of local information Casie and Ian will gladly help you put together an itinerary for your stay in the area. They will just as readily share with you the history of the Barn and the details of its recent conversion. The history of the Barn's build can be traced in depth on the Barn's own Facebook page: www.facebook.com/South-Park-Farm-Barn-1526396947647042 With wide international experience, an expansive knowledge of and a genuine interest in people, places and languages your hosts will aim to engage with you and make you feel at home – or equally respect a preference for seclusion, if that is the case. Your hosts also share the Barn with five very friendly golden retrievers with whom you will never need to come into contact, unless you choose to. Policies: Access to the Barn is restricted during the day – i.e between 11am and 5pm – as we provide this B&B service from within our own home. We do try to be flexible with this, if we can, to meet guests particular needs.
