Description

Located in the heart of the beautiful National Trust village of Lacock, The Red Lion with its large open fireplace, flagstone floors and Georgian interior, welcomes visitors to experience an atmosphere steeped in over 200 years of history. The bar is home to a selection of Cask Real Ales from the Wadworth collection and wines from around the world. If you are in need of refreshment, relaxation and rest, the Red Lion is the place to spend your days. Homecooked food is available daily using locally sourced ingredients and supporting local suppliers. The Red Lion is within easy walking distance of the historical Lacock Abbey, the saxon church of St Cyriac, the 15th century Tithe Barn and plenty of village stores and craft fairs. The Red Lion is an ideal resting point after a busy day. Lacock, as well as being itself an area of great interest, is close to many of England's major attractions such as Bath, Bristol, Stonehenge and Avebury. There are rail and bus connections from nearby towns to almost anywhere.

The Red Lion is steeped in over two hundred years of history and whilst we aim to meet the needs of all our guests there are some period features which might make access difficult for people with limited mobility and therefore our guest rooms are not suitable for wheelchair users. Public areas, hallways, corridors, stairs & landing are a mix of solid wood, carpet or flag stone flooring, which due to the age of the property can be uneven in places. Furniture is flexible and can be moved upon request. Access to accommodation is via a wide carpeted staircase with hand rails both sides. All accommodation rooms are located on the second floor. Please note that we have a limited number of disabled parking spaces available, of which we are unable to reserve. Disabled toilets are located in the public toilets within our car park, please ask for assistance.
