The Arches B&B Information

Description

Welcome to Arches, originally part of an old Victorian boys school built in the early 1900's, which has been renovated into a friendly & homeley Bed & Breakfast. Arches has been recently refurbished and offers large spacious ensuite accommodation featuring a luxurious king-size four poster bed with rural views overlooking the via duct and woodland area. The Green Room has a grand, luxurious four poster bed and the Red Room has great views overlooking the Brunel via duct bridge and the woodland area. Most rooms are large and spacious with ensuite. Guests also have the use of our conservatory and patio. The property is just a 10 minute walk from the town centre with public houses, a cinema and a bowling alley. It is also only 7 minutes to the Waterwheel Restaurant. The Eden Project & The Lost Gardens of Heligan are both just a few miles from our property. Charlestown, with its picturesque harbour home to the tall galleon ships which is often used in film sets, is also only a couple of miles away. We also recommend a visit to Mevagissey or Fowey. These are approx 7/8 miles and are quaint fishing villages. Arches is located on the main new cycle route to Eden and can supply storage space for bikes. We have a minimum 2 nights stay all year round but also have fantastic special offers throughout the year.

Directions

  • Road from From the A30 (5.5 miles)
From A30 take A391 towards Bugle and St Austell. Follow road for approximately 4 miles. At roundabout take 2nd exit B3274 to Carthew. Follow road for approximately 2.5 miles when you see the Waterwheel Restaurant on right hand side. The road bares round to the right and we are just the 200 yards on left hand side.
  • Train from The Station (0.5 miles)
As you come out of the station turn sharp right heading into the town centre. Go straight through the town and when you pass Boots and W H Smiths you will shortly come to a road with a sharp turn going up hill on the right hand side. Follow that road up hill and stay on this road because this is Bodmin Road. Keep on the right hand side all the way until you come to the Railway Bridge (via duct...arches). We are just underneath the Bridge on the right hand side.
