Description

Antler Guest House is an elegant boutique styled guesthouse in the heart of the Edinburgh. Following an extensive interior design programme, great care has been taken to retain the ornate period features of the the original Victorian architecture, whilst creating entirely new en-suite shower rooms with contemporary furnishings including drench showers. Each spacious room enjoys a palette of colours from the bespoke Farrow & Ball range; the walls are also complimented by a range of original artworks by local artists. A combination of antique and modern furnishings fill the space, crisp white linen sits alongside luxe throws of Scottish woven plaid, appliqué, ikat and stripe. Dimmable light fittings in chrome, crystal, black iron or oversized contemporary shade add atmosphere to every room. A changeling - the house is light, bright and airy during the day, then warm and atmospheric come evening. The beautifully designed guest rooms offer en-suite facilities, flat screen televisions, a hospitality tray with teas, coffee and nibbles, adjustable central heating, hairdryers, complimentary Scottish fine toiletries, a seating area and free wifi. Antler house is centrally located offering easy access to all the main attractions either by foot, tram or by the frequent bus service which stops conveniently just across the street.

Directions

  • Road from Princes Street (1.4 miles)
    Locate Princes Street on your map. Both the A1 and the A68 will terminate at the east end of Princes Street. From the A1 make a right turn at Waterloo Place on to the A900 (Leith). Alternatively if you are coming from the A68 turn right from South bridge on to the A900. From this point continue down Leith Street until you reach a roundabout. Continue over the roundabout and head down Leith Walk. Pilrig Street is on the third main street to your left. Antler Guest House is half way down.
  • Air from Edinburgh Airport (8.0 miles)
    There are a number of alternatives when travelling from Edinburgh airport. Firstly, you can take a taxi which will cost around £20 and take around 30 minutes (traffic willing). Secondly, the tram system (costing £5 for a single fair and £8 for an open return) this will bring you to the final tram stop at York Place, the bus stop by the church next to the tram stop will provide you with the number 11 bus which will bring you down Leith Walk, turning left at the church on to Pilrig Street.
  • Train from Waverly Station (1.8 miles)
    Exit at Waverly Station, make your way to St Andrew Square or York Place and jump on the number 11 bus which will take you down Leith Walk, turning left at the church onto Pilrig Street. This is your stop and the Antler Guest House is next to the bus stop.
