Glenalmond Guest House Information

Description

Glenalmond House is a family run, bed and breakfast, luxury guest house. Your hosts are Jimmy and Fiona, who will be delighted to welcome you into their home and look after you during your stay here.. This Edinburgh guest house is a superb, detached Victorian town house of individual charm and character. It has been restored sympathetically, using traditional colours and style of furniture, carefully retaining many of its lovely original features. Each of the 9 en-suite bedrooms (4 on the ground floor and 5 on the first floor) has been individually decorated, There are 4 stunning four poster rooms, ideal for romantic breaks in Edinburgh, two of which have outside patios, and share a small private garden at the back of the house. The style is ‘traditional contemporary’, a warm, luxurious and with a relaxed ‘classic’ ambience, but with modern en-suite bathrooms in every room. There is also a comfortable guest lounge available, where you can relax and an outdoor patio area for when the weather is good. Ideally situated in a delightful residential area of Edinburgh, you are just a short local bus ride or pleasant walk, to the Royal Mile, Edinburgh Castle, Princes Street and all Edinburgh city centre attractions. You can leave your car idle in our free private car park for the whole of your stay if you wish. Close by you can find some of the best and most reasonably priced restaurants and pubs in the city. The location is also ideal for Edinburgh University, the EICC and Edinburgh Royal Infirmary. We are also easily accessible from the A720 city by pass south, without having to travel through city centre traffic and congestion. There is free guaranteed off-street car parking, free Wi-Fi throughout the house, and an extensive breakfast menu with many vegetarian options, as well as a traditional Scottish breakfast with haggis. Another firm favourite is the Scottish, Loch Fyne, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs.
