Description

A 15 minute walk from the town of Portree, The Roses B and B is a comfortable place to stay whilst you experience the beautiful Isle of Skye. We have 2 room options, a King Size and a Double, both with their own private facilities. TV, Wi-Fi and tea and coffee making facilities are all available in the rooms, or you can enjoy the views from our guest lounge while you plan your trips to the many attractions that Skye has to offer. Room 1 - King Size on the ground floor. En-suite facilities, with bath and separate shower, basin and loo. TV, Wi-Fi and tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Room 2 - Double on the ground floor. Separate private facilities, with shower, basin and loo. TV, Wi-Fi and tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Guest Lounge on the ground floor, where you can relax after a long day exploring the many attractions that Skye has to offer and plan your next trip. Breakfast is served in the Sun Room where you can enjoy freshly ground coffee, tea and juices, cereals, Continental or a full Scottish cooked breakfast in pleasant surroundings.

Directions

  • Road from from Portree (1.0 miles)

    On entering Portree, you will come to a roundabout with the A87 to Dunvegan signposted left (1st exit). Take the 2nd exit to Portree town centre. Stay on the main road which will turn sharp left, past a Co-op on your left, then sharp right (Bosville Terrace). At the end of Bosville Terrace, take the left fork in the road signposted A855. You are now in Staffin Road. Follow the road uphill for half a mile (0.8 kilometres). Continue on past a small road on the left called Hill Place. You will see Riverside Cottage four houses further along past this road on your left on a sweeping righthand bend. We have a large cream coloured wall outside the house with the B&B sign just by the entrance.

  • Bus from from Kyle of Lochalsh (35.23 miles)
    Take Scottich Citylink Bus 917 from the Harbour Slipway stop in Kyle of Lochalsh to Portree. Journey time is 1hour and 3mins and the bus will terminate in Somerled Square in Portree. On leaving the bus, exit Somerled Square via Wentworth Street (Portree Hotel is on that corner). Turn left out of Wentworth Street, walk up past a small Co-op into Bosville Terrace. At the end of Bosville Terrace take the left fork (A855). You are now in Staffin Road. We are a 17min walk up the road on the left.
  • Bus from from Inverness (113.91 miles)
    From Inverness Bus Station take the Scottish Citylink bus 917 to Portree. Journey time is 3hours 17mins. The 917 will stop at Kyle of Lochalsh, Harbour Slipway. Stay on the bus and follow the bus directions from Kyle of Lochalsh.
  • Air from from London (638.9 miles)
    From London Luton Airport, Easjet fly non-stop to Inverness Airport (INV). Journey time is 1hour 30mins. From London Heathrow Airport, British Airways fly non-stop to Inverness Airport (INV). Journey time is 1hour 40mins. From Inverness Bus Station you can get a Citylink bus 917 to Portree (see from Inverness - Bus).
