The Potter’s Arms is a traditional village pub set on the edge of the Chiltern Hills in glorious rural Buckinghamshire, but close to fast road and rail connections to London and the Midlands.
We also provide accommodation in our four comfortably-appointed en-suite bedrooms at reasonable rates. Perfect for a layover and handy for departures and arrivals from Heathrow - only about twenty minutes away by car.
The Potter's is situated in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There are many walks in the surrounding area which is also popular with cyclists. Tourist attractions within easy reach include Central London which is only a short rail or tube journey away (station 2 miles distant). Others within easy striking distance:

The Pub is situated in the village of Winchmore Hill, close to Amersham and 5 miles from Junction 2 (Beaconsfield) of the M40. The village can be found midway between the A404 and A355 just south of Old Amersham.
All major routes combine at Old Amersham, from whence you should take the A404 (High Wycombe). Approximately two mile, take turning on left Signposted Winchmore Hill. On entering the village turn left up 'The Hill, then straight over at the crossroads - pub 50 yards on left.

When approaching from the High Wycombe direction, take the turning signposted Penn Street - this comes just after a turning to the left for Mopend. Follow this road until you enter Winchmore Hill; take a right by the village green and the Potters will be found 50 yards to the right of the next crossroads. Other travellers approaching from the South on the A355 from Beaconsfield, should turn left at 'The Harte & Magpies' (do not be tempted to go in!) signposted Coleshill; take the next fork lef
