We fell in love with Flamborough ten years ago when we first got together as a couple. We frequently visited Crab Pot cottage Bed and Breakfast staying with Katrina, who manages Hartendale cottage for us. We loved the friendliness of the people of the village, and the range of fabulous places to eat and drink both in Flamborough itself and many surrounding villages. We got married in Sewerby Hall just down the road, and would highly recommend a visit to its beautiful grounds. We love the fresh sea air, and walks along the cliff top, or on the stony beaches. When we take our kids with us, (less keen on the walking!) there are great sandy beaches and cafes. In August the sea is warm enough to swim in, the brave manage July and September too! For kids and adults in the mood to adventure, the caves and rockpools of North Landing and Thornwick bay are a must. Bridligton is a beautiful old fashioned seaside town with a working harbour and fabulous fish and chips to re-fuel between all the sea front fun fairs. For those too tired to walk all the way home (or back to the car) why not take the land train along the promenade, which runs from Bridlington to Sewerby?
