Penrose B&B Information

Description

Chris & Heidi welcome you to Penrose, their elegant Victorian home. Be prepared to be spoilt when you book into Penrose B&B as Chris & Heidi pride themselves on hospitality and the kind of finishing touches that make a visit memorable. Built in 1900, Penrose retains a wealth of original features, including fireplaces in most of the large rooms, cornicing, ceiling roses, chandeliers, high ceilings and stained glass windows. Even though Penrose is elegant and grand, when you walk in you will experience a homely and laid back atmosphere. As you will see below, most of the rooms are lovely and large with ensuite facilities, plus comfy seating and lots of added extras. Breakfast is full cooked and locally sourced plus as much cereal, toast, orange juice, fruit, tea & coffee as you want. There is free WiFi and a computer available in the dining room. The garden is for all to share and there is off road parking. (no long wheel based vans). If you come by train, let us know and we can come and pick you up. Children and dogs are welcome. There are lots of amenities close by including: The Eden Project (10 minutes away), Lost Gardens of Heligan, Coastal walks, Cycling, Fishing and Sailing, Golf courses galore, Castles and National Trust gardens & houses. Lostwithiel is a hidden gem. It is a mecca for eating fantastic food, with the local pubs, restaurants and takeaways all within a 5/10 minute walk of the house. Lostwithiel is also the antiques capital of Cornwall, plus it boasts tea shops, markets, church, castle, river, parks, boats, museum and a train station. Here are some comments from our guest book: ‘Impossible to put into words the fabulous stay we have had. Thank you so much' - Stuart & Angela 'Very impressive, no hassle booking, great reception, most enjoyable stay. 10 out of 10' - Bill & Carole 'Warm, comfortable, cosy and wonderful hosts, everything you imagine the perfect Cornish B&B to be - Thanks very much' - Michael.
