Keswick is a wonderful area in which to try new outdoor activities or to extend your existing skills. There is plenty of activities and places to visit whilst staying at Lindisfarne House B&B. Walkers and climbers are spoiled for choice. From the high summits to forest trails and lakeside paths. There are always events taking place in keswick from the Jazz festivalheld each May ,the mountian festival in May, and our famous beer festival each june, to the keswick convention each july.
The C2C (Coast to Coast) cycle route runs through Keswick, so if your attempting the cycle challenge, book a nights accommodation with us. If cycling is your thing try out the Altura Trail which is a challenging 19 kilometre red grade mountain bike trail with around 80% of singletrack. It is really aimed at good intermediate to advanced riders. The trail combines many man-made features like berms, jumps and "North-shore" with natural rock and root hazards. This is arguably a more difficult trail than the red's found at other trail centres.
Access to the property is by five steps up to the front door, our rooms are spread over three floors (each flight having nine steps up) and our dining room is in the basement (12 steps down). Our doorways are 34" side, bathrooms and toilet facilities are situated on the half landing and are unsuitable for wheelchair access.
