The Ashleigh Information


The Ashleigh is conveniently located for the sea, shops and shows; with a good location for travel links, being close to Bournemouth International Airport, Poole Ferry Port, and the train & coach connections. We offer a high standard of accommodation and cleanliness. We invite you to holiday in relaxed and informal surroundings in order to enjoy this ideal base for short trips to see attractions such as Poole Quay and historic Christchurch, with its castle ruins and Norman Priory; Corfe Castle and Swanage (linked by restored steam railway) in the Purbecks; the ancient New Forest, now a National Park, and Beaulieu where the National Motor Museum is located. Local coach companies offer a wide itinerary and much of the locality can be enjoyed from open-top buses. Come and join in the summer celebrations, Candlelight Nights, and many more free festivals and activities in and around town. Don't forget the Bournemouth Air Festival later in August. We have a variety of rooms available, all uniquely decorated in a modern, contemporary style. All bedrooms are en-suite, complete with hair-dryer & Flat screen TV with Freeview channels, and enjoy the benefit of tea/coffee making facilities. Our parking is provided free of charge, but spaces cannot be guaranteed Whilst we at The Ashleigh are gay friendly, we do not accept single sex group bookings such as stag/hen parties. Any booking found to be such on arrival, will not be admitted & will be expected to settle any outstanding amount. Please also note that room rates including children apply only to children under the age of 14, supplements will apply. Unfortunately friends/relatives of guests are not permitted to stay within the building with guests during their stay without prior consent from management. Charges may apply. We are now offering a dedicated charging point for Electric Vehicles. Contact us for details and a late/early check in service is available when you contact us direct in advance.

    1. Head south on A338 7.8 mi 2. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto A35/St Pauls Rd 0.2 mi 3. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Holdenhurst Rd 0.2 mi 4. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit and stay on Holdenhurst Rd 0.1 mi 5. Turn left at St Swithun's Rd 256 ft 6. Slight left at Southcote Rd 469 ft
  • Train from Bournemouth Station (0.1 miles)
    From Station head towards Holdenhurst Road, cross this road via the Pelican Crossing. Walk into St Swithins Road past Cafe and De Plaice and follow this road to the left where it becomes Southcote Road. You will see The Ashleigh on the opposite side of the road, approx. 50m ahead.
