Blervie House Information

Description

Blervie House is a historic Scottish Country house set in a delightful rural setting that has undergone a significant renovation resulting in a comfortable house that combines the best of Stately Home elegance with twenty first century modern conveniences. Located in Moray Speyside but just a short drive from Inverness this luxury Guesthouse is nestled in a 300 acre private estate which has extensive views over the Moray Firth and the North Coast of Scotland. All the bedrooms are larger than you might expect with wonderful views. All the furnishings are top quality and many have an interesting story to tell of how they came to be here, all soft furnishings are likewise quality including Hungarian Goose Down duvets providing everything you would hope for in order to enjoy your time at Blervie. Moray enjoys the benefit of being on the end of the Gulf Stream in the Moray Firth which has the third longest sunshine area in the UK this gives the area a pleasant temperature, exceptional hours of summer sunshine and generally makes it ideal for outdoor activities. For those of you exploring Moray there is so much to do you may need to reconsider the amount of time you are planning on staying – walking, golf, castles, cycling, whisky distilleries, beaches, wildlife are just a few things you could do – or even just sit in the garden and contemplate. Take time to look around at the wildlife living on the estate, deer, and red squirrels and don’t forget Charlie the Peacock. Blervie is an easy 40-minute drive from Inverness airport yet miles away in terms of solitude and scenery. Life at Blervie House is designed to be relaxed and comfortable – please arrive as guests and leave as friends.

Graham and Sheena retired and bought Blervie as a project in 2014. Three years later after a multi million pound investment in the property we are delighted to share it with people that arrive as guests and leave as friends enjoying Blervie as much as we do. We moved here from Sussex however Sheena has come back to her Scottish routes as her family originated from Glen Shee and Graham has been hill walking up here every year since he was 18. Graham is the businessman having started life as a Merchant Banker, turned farmer with many interests in both Equine Veterinary Hospitals and Building. Sheena spent many years working in the Veterinary Pharmaceutical industry, enjoys Cooking and is a keen horse rider. We have totally fallen in love with this beautiful part of Moray and the variety of activities there are to do in the area influenced by the ambient weather this part of Scotland enjoy so are looking forward to sharing this beautiful area and having moved up it still feels to us like being on holiday we are keen to encourage you to go out and explore the many different attractions, just let us know your interests and we can point you in the right direction.
