It is pet friendly and sleeps up to 4 people in 2 spacious bedrooms that can be set up as super king doubles or twins. We offer high quality, self-catering accommodation in a relaxed, rural setting. Whitney on Wye is a small village, just over 4 miles from the famous literary town of Hay on Wye and 15 miles from the cathedral city of Hereford.

It is well appointed with tea and coffee making facilities, flat screen smart TV, fast Wifi and a shared balcony for either a drink or breakfast with a view. Breakfast is included and can be taken in our dining room on the ground floor.

****Book Direct For The Best Price**** Josie's Annexe is a relaxed and stylish self-contained studio with private entrance, situated at ground floor level (see our Access Statement for further details). The room is decorated simply with modern, natural style, light oak furniture, including a double bed and wardrobe. All-seasons duvets and hypo-allergenic bedding and pillows are standard. A modern, mini open-plan galley kitchen (two-ring ceramic hob, built in microwave, fridge, sink) is located off the main room and comes equipped with crockery and cooking pans/utensils for breakfast preparation. For eating, there is a small dining table & chairs or for warmer times, why not take advantage of your own private deck area to dine al fresco? The room is double-glazed and has under-floor heating. There is a thermostat in the room that enables you to adjust the temperature for your comfort. Should you require a quick burst of heat last thing at night or first thing in the morning, there is also a small electric wood-burner style heater that can be operated by remote control from the bed!! A modern, en-suite shower room leads off the main room. The room is equipped with items you may wish to borrow, such as torch (we have no streetlights!), umbrella and flask. You are welcome to take these on days out, but kindly return them after use. For entertainment, there is a flat screen TV/DVD player. A small selection of DVD's is available for loan. Maps, books and information on walking, attractions and other activities in the local area are available in the room. If you need advice, please ask us and we will be happy to assist. A bespoke oak stable-style front door with slate porch leads out to a small, shingled patio area with a deck, table and chairs and a fish pond.

****Book Direct For The Best Price**** As the name suggests, this room was originally built at the turn of the 20th century as the office for the land agent for the nearby Whitney Court Estate. The Agent's Office is today a stylish, self-contained suite with private entrance, situated at ground floor level. The main room has an elegant high ceiling with beautiful, tall, distinctive double aspect windows, stripped wood flooring and original herringbone tiles. It is decorated with French style, cream wooden furniture including king-size bed and mirrored wardrobe. All-seasons duvets and hypo-allergenic bedding and pillows are standard. In a walk-in area off the main room, you can find the original archiving furniture used by the land agent, together with hinges for his safe that are still on the wall. If you wish, you can make use of his drawers to store more mundane items such as socks! The room also contains a kitchenette (2-ring ceramic hob, sink, fridge), equipped with crockery and pans/utensils for breakfast preparation, two armchairs and a bistro table and chairs for eating. A modern, en-suite shower room leads off the main room. The room is equipped with items you may wish to borrow, such as torch (we have no streetlights!), umbrella and flask. You are welcome to take these on days out, but kindly return them after use. Although spacious, the room is warm and cosy with its own central heating supply - the digital control for this is in the room and you can easily turn it up or down, as required. In addition, the Agent's Office has its own wood burner for those chillier evenings, which is stocked with logs and kindling and made up ready for use. For entertainment, there is a flat screen TV with FreeView and a DVD player. A small selection of DVD's is provided. Maps, books and information on walking, attractions and other activities in the local area are available in the room. Please ask if you need any help.

New for 2024! Now fully licensed we have a selection of draught/bottled beer and wines available. Enjoy a drink and dinner whilst the sun sets in our new kitchen garden and firepit complete with BBQ and wood fired pizza oven serving our superb homemade burgers and Pizza's. The Agent's House is an Edwardian property, built around 1905-1910 as a residence for the Land Agent to the nearby Whitney Court. As such, it retains lots of character and original features. A great deal of care has been taken to restore and refurbish the house to ensure a sense of its history remains, whilst incorporating a range of modern day comforts. At the Agent's House, we provide both self catering apartments, traditional bed and breakfast accommodation, private dining and small events. Breakfast is available and taken in our dining room within The Agents House. Our breakfasts are prepared using the finest ingredients all sourced locally wherever possible. Montgomery's Coach House is a wonderful converted building, perfect for families and dog owners alike, with two large bedrooms, living room / Kitchen, secluded deck area with BBQ as well as a private garden and gated driveway. The Agents Office is a perfect retreat for a romantic break. This stunning, spacious building has a high vaulted ceiling, log burner for cozy nights, a kitchenette as well as beautiful period features. Josie's Annexe is a spacious open plan room with a dining area and galley kitchen with views across our secluded garden and its own decked area with outdoor seating. In The Agents House we also offer two very well appointed bed and breakfast rooms with bay windows towards the Wye River and a balcony for a late night tipple or breakfast. We are less than 5 miles from Hay on Wye, the famous bookshop capital, with its variety of small, individual shops, many eateries & cafes and a Thursday morning market, to name but a few of the attractions.
A stone's throw from the River Wye in the borderlands between Herefordshire & Powys in Mid-Wales, we are ideally situated as a touring base for getting to know the stunning Wye Valley (AONB) and beyond. Despite our rural location, we are very fortunate to have a pub and local store selling local produce and newspapers. We also offer relaxed evening meals from our kitchen garden that we have equipped with a BBQ and wood fired pizza oven. For the more energetic, many activities are within easy reach, including a canoe/kayak stop-off point just minutes from our house. There are walks galore with routes along Offa's Dyke, the Herefordshire Trail & Wye Valley Walk all within striking distance, as well as local trails direct from the house. Hay Bluff, the Black Mountains & Brecon Beacons National Park are just a short drive away. Estrada a partir de Hereford By Road (15,0 milhas)From Hereford, take the main Hereford to Brecon road (A438). Stay on this road, following the A438 Brecon signs. Immediately on passing the village gates on the entry to Whitney on Wye, take the left turn immediately prior to a petrol station. This takes you on to Whitney Village Road (not sign-posted, but recognised by most Sat Nav's). The Agent's House is the fourth house down on the right from this direction. [If you miss the small left-hand turn before the petrol station, take next left.]

Comboio a partir de Hereford By Public Transport (15,0 milhas)Please note there are no regular buses to Whitney on Wye from Hereford and taxis may be limited. It is, therefore, recommended to book a taxi prior to travelling.

Estrada a partir de Brecon By Road (15,0 milhas)From Brecon, take the main Brecon to Hereford road (A438) and continue following the A438 signs until you reach the village gates indicating entry into Whitney on Wye. Shortly afterwards, you will see a right-hand turn into Whitney Village Road. The road is not named, but is signposted for The Boat Inn and is recognised by most Sat Nav's. Take this turn and proceed past the pub. We are the first house on the left.

Turn left on to the A4111 (towards Hereford) and very shortly thereafter, take the right-hand turn on to the A438 (Brecon) road. Continue on the A438 until you go through the village gates into Whitney on Wye. Turn left almost immediately, just before a petrol station, into Whitney Village Road. The road is not signed, but is recognised by most Sat Nav's. We are the fourth house on the right. If you miss this small left turn, take the next left.
