The Big Burns Supper is the world’s largest Burns Night, celebrating poet Robert Burns in the town where spent the he spent last years of his life and died in 1796. In fact, it’s much more than one night, across 10 days, concerts and performances give a contemporary twist to the traditional celebration of Scotland’s national poet.
Acts performing include KT Tunstall, Peatbog Faeries, Colonel Mustard and the Dijon 5/Bombskare. They’ll be joined by Le Haggis, whose cabaret show explodes into the centre of the Spiegeltent at high octane speed, and ever-popular comedian Ed Byrne.
Now in its 8th year, there is plenty of entertainment for both young and old, including a lantern procession through the streets.
