The UK’s largest Air Festival is back, with a fantastic weekend’s entertainment for young and old alike. The action will spread over a 1.5 mile stretch of Bournemouth’s sea front, and fill the skies and seas too.
The air above Bournemouth will echo with the sounds of stunning aircraft displays including the jaw-dropping Red Arrows, The Blades, Strikemaster, and Otto the Helicopter. See the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight with its Spitfires, Hurricanes, Lancaster, and C47 Dakota, and watch with bated breath as the Tigers Freefall Parachute Display Team do what they do best.
On the ground, there’s plenty more entertainment. Head for the funfair, watch some of the demonstrations, or visit the military villages. You’ll also have a chance to meet the display teams, for selfies and questions.
Out to sea will also be an amazing sight, courtesy of the Royal Navy. They’ll be bringing a flotilla of their incredible vessels, and organisers are hoping they’ll be recreating some of the displays from previous year’s shows, including the awesome amphibious beach assault demo.
There’ll be food and drink on offer along the seafront, so you can relax and concentrate on having a great time.
