The popular Great Yarmouth Maritime Festival is back on South Quay this year with a great line-up of maritime themed events for all the family.
This is your chance to see on board some fabulous vessels like the Earl of Pembroke, a ship you may recognise from TV, and the Esvagt Njord SOV, whose day job is servicing offshore wind farms.
On dry land, there’ll be entertainment from fabulous live bands singing sea shanties and playing traditional folk music. Along the quay will be performances by children’s entertainers, a Punch and Judy show, and appearances by Lord Nelson himself.
Alongside the entertainment will be demonstrations of maritime themed crafts. Discover the ancient craft of boat-building, and watch a short film or two in the vintage mobile cinema.
Eastern Inshore Fisheries will be bringing along some Norfolk coast sea creatures for you to meet, and DR Freestyle Jetski display team are making a welcome return with their stunning acrobatic water show.
Throw in some tasty seafood and you have all the ingredients for a perfect day by the sea.
