Thriplow is a small village in Cambridgeshire and during March, over 7,000 people make the trip to enjoy the annual Daffodil Weekend that takes place there – it celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2018! If you want to experience a blast from the past, then a visit here should definitely scratch your itch. Lanes have no traffic, so you can happily walk and journey throughout the lanes and footpaths with ease. You can also visit marquees, stalls, craft barns and much more where you’ll be able to purchase items to raise money for charity.
One of the best things about the event is that practically every single resident of Thriplow is involved in some way or another to ensure the weekend is perfect. There is a small entry fee (£8 for adults, £4 for children, under 5s free) which is more than worth it to surround yourself with a landscape that looks vibrant and alive with daffodils and to experience some exciting and fun demonstrations. Head over the Thriplow and see the fun-times for yourself.
